Sophos, a world leader in protecting
businesses against spam and viruses, has been named Hall of Fame
Company of the Year 2005 by the Cambridge University Computer
Laboratory Graduate Association. The award was presented to Sophos's co-founder and CEO, Dr Jan Hruska, last night at Jesus College, Cambridge by Stephen Allott, chairman and co-founder of sales consultancy Trinamo Ltd. Sophos is the first company to be honoured with this yearly award. "It always gives me a feeling of pride when Sophos wins awards from prestigious institutions like this one," said Dr Hruska. Product Excellence Awards in the Best Security Solution category.
Winners will be announced in a ceremony held on the main stage of
the LinuxWorld exhibit hall on Tuesday, February 15 at 4:30 PM EST.

| 28 January 2005 Sophos Anti-Virus receives 27th Virus Bulletin 100% award |

Sophos, a world leader in protecting
businesses against viruses and spam, today announced that Sophos
Anti-Virus has been awarded the VB 100% award in the February 2005
edition of Virus Bulletin. This is the 27th time Sophos Anti-Virus
has won a VB 100% award, confirming its position as one of the most
powerful virus protection products available. Virus Bulletin tested 28 different anti-virus products for their detection rates, lack of false alarms, and speed of scanning on the Windows NT platform. Sophos successfully detected all of the in-the-wild and polymorphic viruses with no false alarms, outperforming a number of competing vendors including McAfee.
